Who are your clients exactly?

Our clients are busy Londoners who understand that their lifestyle and work is affecting their health and fitness and they want to do something about it. They are men and women between 35-65yrs who want effective, high quality exercise that will future-proof their bodies for a healthy older age. They are people who are dealing with niggling aches, back pain, bad posture and joint stiffness.

Who will your programmes work for?

My programmes are suitable for everyone and for all levels so long you are willing to make a commitment to your fitness and wellness.

Where do your classes take place?

We offer Pilates classes in Wapping, Shoreditch and Canada Water. Pilates classes in Wapping are at the Shadwell Basin Outdoor Activity Centre. Pilates classes in Shoreditch are at the Dance Research Studio. Pilates classes in Canada Water are at the Dockland Settlements Centre.

What type of person do I need to be to make this work?

You don’t need to be a saint. Just someone who is open minded and genuinely willing to make the time for the change you seek.

I’ve tried lots of stuff before and nothing has worked. Does this really work?

Pilates can offer many benefits such as better body and spine alignment, joint mobility and strength. It has changed many of our clients’ lives and made them feel empowered and in control of their bodies once again. These amazing things can be achieved so long you are consistent with your practice and you make it a habit. We will be there for you, to help you along the way, but ultimately you are in control of your own success.

If I’m not sure I’m ready to get started, how can I sample your work to see if it’s the right solution for me?

That’s totally understandable and that’s why we offer our monthly free taster classes. These are group classes that will give you a chance to come and meet us and get a feel for our teaching and approach. You can also follow us on Facebook for daily tips and news.

What results can I expect?

I won’t tell you what I think, I’ll tell you what my clients say to me at the end of our sessions. They feel elevated, more dynamic, stronger and more body aware. They are able to catch themselves and correct their posture when they are out and about queueing for things. The know what to do if an incident of back pain hits them but they also know that if they do their Pilates every week, the frequency of their pain incidents is decreased. Some of them told me how Pilates changed their lives, they feel calmer, less anxious and better about themselves. So it’s down to you and how you let Pilates help you.

How quickly can I expect results?

There is a famous quote by Joseph Pilates and I believe it to be true. He said: “In 10 sessions, you feel better, 20 sessions you look better, 30 sessions you have a completely new body.” Of course that’s only true if you commit to consistent practice and do at least 2 classes a week. If you can only attend 1 class a week that’s definitely better than not doing anything however you might reach your goals a little slower.

It sounds great but I don’t have time?

Is your wellbeing and happiness a priority? If yes, then I know you will find the time. Our different packages and especially the online workouts that go with the group classes will ensure that you can do your Pilates almost anywhere. I always say you can make Pilates as everyday as drinking water. Do you have time to drink water? Then you have time to do Pilates.

Do I need to be fit to keep up in the sessions?

No – before you join a class, we will have a conversation about which class level will be the best for you to join. You are not expected to be able to touch your toes and do the splits ☺

Is it going to be really hard?

You will be progressed at your own pace and abilities. Like anything new, you will need time to adjust and feel comfortable with everything but rest assured that we would never teach you exercises that are impossible, challenging yes, impossible no!
